Abrasives

Silicon carbide abrasives: Such as grinding wheels and abrasive belts with silicon carbide as the main component, in normal metal grinding processing, if used for rough grinding, the grinding wheel may need to be re-dressed or replaced after about 10 to 20 hours of use, and the service life of the abrasive belt may be several hours to over ten hours. When used for fine grinding, due to the relatively low grinding pressure and speed, the service life will be extended. The grinding wheel can be used for 20 to 50 hours, and the grinding belt can be used for 10 to 30 hours.

Alumina abrasives: Alumina grinding wheels, abrasive cloth, etc. In general steel grinding, the service life of grinding wheels during rough grinding is approximately 15 to 30 hours, while abrasive cloth rolls used in similar working conditions may last for 8 to 15 hours. During fine grinding, the alumina grinding wheel can be used for 30 to 80 hours. If the abrasive cloth is used for light polishing, its service life may be 20 to 50 hours.

Diamond abrasives: Diamond grinding wheels, grinding pastes, etc. Due to their extremely high hardness and good wear resistance, they have a relatively long service life when processing hard and brittle materials such as cemented carbide and ceramics. Green polishing wax: Commonly used for polishing metals such as stainless steel and chromium. In industrial production, if polishing equipment operates continuously for about 8 hours a day, a 5-kilogram bucket of green polishing wax may last for 1 to 2 months.
